Craft Workshop with Antoinette

£ 20.00 each

This Workshop has now sold out.

A workshop with Antoinette, whom I had the pleasure of spending some time with this summer. Antoinette originally studied economics and politics at university but has found her way into the creative world, and now works at the Crafts Council in Islington as a Gallery Assistant alongside her vintage shop job, whilst building ‘deannie’, her shop/vessel for finding and making.

The workshop invites you to create intuitively in a non-judgemental environment; experimenting and cherishing the process of using found objects and materials to create little sculptures / pieces of embellished or woven fabrics without the need for an end output. Cards and threads will be provided for those wanting to turn their treasures into something to gift or use as decoration at Christmas but the emphasis is on the process and allowing this time to connect to your creativity.

Materials will be provided but please feel free to bring along anything that you may wish to use - we encourage you to follow your instincts and not question your choices!

A note from Antoinette:

'I love the process of finding and making special things—whether they are found or crafted materials, like lace offcuts from a market or shells and pebbles from the beach. Sometimes I like to keep them in their initial form, while other times I enjoy the therapeutic practice of working with my hands to repurpose them into something new.'

Antoinette has the most beautiful view of the world, a wonderfully creative mind and excellent taste in music! This will be a beautiful evening that feeds the soul.

Tues 26th Nov 7-9.30pm
The workshop will take place at the shop : 16-18 Brockley Cross, SE4 2AA
Tickets £20 - link to book in bio or visit www.thetableedit.com

We look forward to welcoming you,
Anna & Antoinette xx
